Today's Scripture *July 20, 2010*
Colossians 3: 10
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
What does it mean to put on your new nature? It means that your conduct should match your faith. If you are a Christian, you should act like it. To be a Christian means more than just making good resolutions and having good intentions; it means taking the right actions. This is a straightforward step that is as simple as putting on your clothes. You must rid yourself of all evil practices and immorality. Then you can commit yourself to what Christ teaches. If you have made such a commitment to Christ, are you remaining true to it? What old clothes do you need to strip off and throw away?
Father, please show us what 'old clothes' we need to still strip off and throw away.
Lord, guide and and help us as we remove the old nature and put on our new nature in You.
Thank You for cleaning us and renewing us. Thank You for guiding us and encouraging us.
May we live the Christian walk; and not just be good at the Christian talk.
In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen..
