Today's Scripture *July 22, 2010*
Ezra 3: 10-11
When the builders completed the foundation of the Lord’s Temple, the priests put on their robes and took their places to blow their trumpets. And the Levites, descendants of Asaph, clashed their cymbals to praise the Lord, just as King David had prescribed. With praise and thanks, they sang this song to the Lord:
“He is so good!
His faithful love for Israel endures forever!”
Then all the people gave a great shout, praising the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s Temple had been laid.
Completing the foundation for the Temple required great effort on the part of all involved. But no one tried to get praise for himself and his own hard work. Instead, everyone praised God for what had been done. All good gifts come from God--talents, abilities, strength, and leadership. We should thank God for what has been done in and through us!!
Heavenly Father, Creator and Sustainer of all things, we praise Your Holy Name.
Thank You for everything that You have done in and through us.
Thank You for using us as Your tools to complete Your good works.
May we remain humbly in Your service. We praise You, Lord. In Your Name, Amen..
God bless you,
Your sister in Christ our Lord,
April
