John 17: 17
Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.
A follower of Christ becomes pure and holy through believing and obeying the Word of God. We, as Christ's -Followers, have already accepted forgiveness through Christ's sacrificial death. (Hebrews 7: 26-27 He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has been set apart from sinners and has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.Unlike those other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices every day. They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people. But Jesus did this once for all when he offered himself as the sacrifice for the people’s sins. ) But daily application of God's Word has a purifying effect on our minds and hearts. Scripture points out sin, motivates us to confess, renews our relationship with Christ, and guides us back on the right path.
(Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. )
Father God, we thank You again for Your Holy Word.
May we know Your Truth down to our very core!
Help us to desire more and more knowledge, wisdom, and purification.
Thank You for Your sacrifice on our behalf. We acknowledge You as our Lord and our Savior!
In the Matchless Name of Jesus Christ, Amen...
