Ashley's Today's Scripture *September 6, 2010*
Psalm 25:21
May integrity and honesty protect me,
For I put my hope in you.
For I put my hope in you.
Websters dictionary's definition of integrity is : adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.
All my life my parents and church leaders have always reminded me and others to keep integrity strong. This Scripture is telling us that our honesty and integrity needs to protect us. What will it protect us from? Well the world. The world lies, cheats and has very little integrity. If we are being honest and we don't lie and we have strong integrity we will be able to withstand the trials that the world gives us.
We need to have this integrity and completely put our hope in God.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for this day. I pray that You will keep a hedge of protection over us and that we will be strong in this world as we put our complete hope in You.
Lord we pray that we will shine a light for You. That the world may see You living through us as we place our hope in You.
In Jesus' Name We Pray
