1 Peter 3:3
Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles expensive jewelry or beautiful clothes.
Girls can be very concerned about their outward appearances. Even boys can be the same way sometimes. A lot of girls want the have pretty hair, nice jewelry and stylish clothes.that make them look as good as possible. I know that my friends and I are very into doing hair and having clothes that are fashionable. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as it isn't coming before God. This is one of my biggest struggles: instead of waking up in the morning and focusing on God I wake up and get my hair done, dressed in my fashionable clothing and polish off my look with matching accessories. My focus is on how I look before I start my day. But we all need to focus on the things that God cares about, which are not our outer beauty but the beauty within us. My desire is to change my focus to the things of God.
Dear Lord,
I pray that we will put You first before anything and that we will focus on our inner beauty rather than what is on the outside.
Thank You for making us in the image of You and for caring so much about us.
