Drift into Night

As the day is done

As the hour is nigh

When darkness is

Over the land.

When we sleep

You come and kiss

Our worried brow

And take our hand.

For now the day

Has ended the stars

High in the

Cosmic band.

You Lord are in the

Wings of peaceful

Sleep of the universe

So wonderfully spanned.
