Ashley's Today's Scripture *June 22, 2008*
Isaiah 9:6
For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

This Scripture was a prophesy from Isaiah of what would happen when Jesus would come.
This Scripture is the one that has four of Jesus' Names. All of these are very important and very special but the one that I want to focus on is Prince of Peace.
Jesus is our Prince of Peace. Could you even imagine what it would be like for us if Jesus would have not come and didn't died for us ?
That would be horrible! There would be no peace and no chance for salvation! We would live in eternal chaos.
The dictionary describes peace as : the normal, nonwarring condition of a nation, group of nations, or the world. ; cessation of or freedom from any strife or dissension. ; freedom of the mind from annoyance, distraction, anxiety, an obsession, etc.; tranquillity; serenity. ; a state of tranquillity or serenity.
Jesus is our Prince of Peace because He came and gave us peace eternally!
Dear Lord,
Thank You for coming to us Lord and for being our Prince of Peace and our Hope.
We love You Father and we are so blessed to have You in our lives.
Thank You for everything!
