Judges 4:1
After Ehud’s death, the Israelites again did evil in the Lord’s sight.
Israel sinned "In the Lord’s sight". Our sin harms both ourselves and others, but our sin is ultimately against God because it disregards His commands and His authority over us. When confessing His sin, David prayed, "Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight." Psalm 51:4
Recognizing the seriousness of sin is the first step toward removing it from our lives.
Heavenly Father, we worship You this day! God, help us to come to You when we have fallen into sin. May we confess it to You; repent from it; and turn away from that sin. We love You Lord, and we praise You for Your forgiveness and Your grace. In Jesus' Name, Amen..
