Today's Scripture *July 24, 2008*

Jeremiah 33: 15-16

In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

These verses refer to both the first and second comings of Christ.

At His first coming He would set up His Reign in the hearts of believers; and

At His second coming He will execute justice and righteousness throughout the whole earth.

Christ is the righteous descendant from king David's line, the man after God's own heart.

Father God, thank You for Your Word to us.

May we read it daily, understand it, and apply it to our lives.

Thank You for Jesus Christ! In His Name, Amen..
