Isaiah 1: 25
And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
God promised to refine His people similar to the way that metal is purged with lye in a smelting pot. This process involves melting the metal and skimming off the impure slag until the worker can see his own image in the liquid metal.
We must be willing to submit to God, allowing Him to remove our sin so that we might reflect His image.
Father in Heaven, we love You! And we praise You today for Your Living Word.
Lord, we want to be refined and purified by You! Help us to submit to Your ways so that we will reflect Your image!
