Today's Scripture *August 8, 2008*
Ephesians 2: 1-2
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Immediately after prayer, Paul reminds the Ephesians of the reality of personal sin.
Like them, we must never forget our past, the condition in which Jesus saved us. Those memories are the best fuel for our gratitude to Christ for all He has done on our behalf!
This doesn't means we sit and dwell on our past sins! However, we should always be mindful of Christ's saving grace and how He removed that sin from our lives! It does keep us focused on His amazing grace and should inspire us into a deeper relationship and servant attitude and heart!
Thank You God for cleansing us from our past sins!
Thank You for giving us Your precious Blood to cleanse us and make us white as wool!
May we live lives in gratitude to You! Thank You for all You have done! In Your Name, Amen..
