Today's Scripture *August 19, 2008*
Ecclesiastes 1: 16-18
I said to myself, "Behold, I have magnified and increased wisdom more than all who were over Jerusalem before me; and my mind has observed a wealth of wisdom and knowledge."
And I set my mind to know wisdom and to know madness and folly; I realized that this also is striving after wind.
Because in much wisdom there is much grief, and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.
The more you understand, the greater your pain and difficulty. For example--the more you know, the more perfection you see around you; and the more you observe the more evil becomes evident. As you set out with Solomon to find the meaning of life, you must be ready to feel more, think more, question more, hurt more, and do more! Are you ready to pay for the price of wisdom?
Heavenly Father, we do want more wisdom!
May we use the knowledge and wisdom you bestowed on us in ways that will impact others and influence those around us to live lives dedicated to You!
In Jesus' Name, Amen..
God bless!
