Ashley's Today's Scripture *August 24, 2008*
Isaiah 7: 14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
This week we are continuing with the names of Jesus again. This week we are talking about the name Immanuel. In the Dictionary the name Immanuel is Defined as...The name of the Messiah as prophesied by Isaiah, often represented in Christian exegesis as being Jesus Christ. Isaiah 7:14
This Scripture is then telling us that Jesus--from the time He was born was named Immanuel. He is our Messiah and our Lord.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for being such a great and awesome God. Thank You for being our Immanuel.
We Love You and praise You.
