Today's Scripture *September 20, 2008*

Joshua 3:9
So Joshua told the Israelites " Come and listen to what the Lord your God says "

Just before crossing over the Promised Land, Joshua gathered the people to hear the words of the Lord. The excitement was high ; no doubt they wanted to rush on, but Joshua made them stop and listen. We live in a  face-paced age where everyone rushes just to keep up. It is easy to get caught up in our tasks, becoming too busy for what God say's is most important--listening to His Words! Before making your schedule, take time to focus on what God wants from all your activities. Knowing what God has said before you rush into your day can help you avoid foolish mistakes.

Father God, we praise You,
We thank You again for Your Unfailing Words of Truth to us.
May we stop--and listen to Your Voice! May we hear Your Word clearly as we make choices and as we speak to others.
May Your Word ring in our ears and come forth from our mouths. Help us to stop and spend time in Your Word each day.
In Jesus' Name, Amen..

Have a blessed weekend!
Love in Christ,
April
