Today's Scripture *November 20, 2008*

John 2:17
Then his disciples remembered this prophecy from the Scriptures: “Passion for God’s house will consume me.”

What does it mean to you to be full of passion?
When we love our spouse and we long to spend time with them--that longing and desire is our passion for them.
When we love our work and do it with the best of our efforts--that is our passion for it.
Should we not be even more so passionate for the Lord and His Word?
Jesus was passionate about His Fathers House and He did not deal with those merchants half-hearted. He was consumed with righteous anger against such flagrant disrespect for God. Jesus was full of passion!
Psalm 69: 9 Passion for your house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.
Examine your passions--is your number one passion God and His Word?
Is Jesus someone your passionate about?

Jesus, we want to be passionate about You!
We want You to be number one in our lives.
May we become passionate about the things You are passionate about.
May Your desires and passions become our desires and passions.
In Jesus' Name, Amen..

God bless you
April
