Today's Scripture *February 13, 2009*
Nehemiah 8:13
On October 9 the family leaders of all the people, together with the priests and Levites, met with Ezra the scribe to go over the Law in greater detail.
After Ezra read God's laws to the people, they studied then further and then acted upon them.
A careful reading of Scripture always calls for a response to these questions:
What should we do with this knowledge ?
How should our lives change ?
We must do something about what we have learned if it is to have real significance for our lives.
Lord, we want Your Word to change our hearts and purify our lives!
We need Your perfect love, we need Your discipline.
May we respond to Your Word when we study it.
May we see changes that are in line with Your will for our lives.
In Jesus' Name, Amen..
