Ezekiel 1:3
(The Lord gave this message to Ezekiel son of Buzi, a priest, beside the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians, and he felt the hand of the Lord take hold of him.)
The name Ezekiel means, "God is Strong" or "God Strengthens".
In a very real sense, this sums up the basic message of the book of Ezekiel; that in spite of the captivity, God's Sovereign strength prevails, and He will judge His enemies, and restore His true people.
Heavenly Father, we love You and we worship You.
You are our Forever God! You are strong and give strength to Your people.
May we call upon Your Name and trust in Your Unfailing love.
