Ashley's Today's Scripture *March 29, 2009*
I Corinthians: 5-6
There may be so-called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords. But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been given life.
This Scripture is talking about Idols. I have done many Scriptures that talk about idols and all of them have the same message. So I bet you can guess what this one is about?... Not worshiping idols.
In this particular Scripture it says that we must worship Jesus Christ. He is the One that gave us life and He has a plan for us. How do you expect a statue, a piece of metal to give you life when it doesn't even have life itself? God made you and you need to worship Him.
Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day, the day You have made.
I pray that You will help those that worship idols to stop that and come worship You.
