Luke 6:32
“If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them!
Love is very important and requires a lot of effort when you need to love someone you do not like. Think about how Jesus felt, when He had to love people that spit in His face. That must have felt terrible. The thing is-- is that Jesus didn't have to love them, He wanted to. We need to love sinners but hate the sin that they are doing. Do you remember the passage about the lamp in the dark? That is what we need to be when we love sinners. We need to be a light to them.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for this week. Thank You for the opportunities you give us to show love to those around us.
I pray that we will love sinners and people that hate us even when it is hard.
In Jesus' Name We Pray
