Proverbs 29:23

Pride ends in humiliation,
While humility brings honor.

Pride is defined in the dictionary as a becoming or dignified sense of what is due to oneself or one's position or character; self-respect; self-esteem. It is okay to be proud of yourself after a day of hard work. When you are proud where you think you are better than others and you show it. Pride will end in humiliation. Humility will bring honor. Humility is the quality or condition of being humble; modest opinion or estimate of one's own importance, rank, etc. For example, if you did something wrong and someone told you that you did --don't argue, just apologize right away. Doing this will bring you honor.

Dear Lord,

I pray that You will help me to have humility and that You will crush my pride. I know it is hard to be humble all the time but I know that with Your help it is possible. Please help me to obey Your Word.
