Today's "Marriage" Scripture by Jason Hunt *July 4, 2009*

Colossians 2:3

In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Until a few years back I didn't have much desire to know God's Word. One could say that means I didn't have much desire to know God. After a lifetime worth of serious mistakes I stopped ignoring the Lord's directions. As I grow in knowledge through His Word--life's decisions become much easier. Life doesn't get easier but I can trust God's promises to be true. With knowledge comes a multitude of blessings.

In Him we as men learn how to love our wives, father our families, teach our children, keep ourselves and others accountable, work with integrity and lead others. If we don't read our Bibles, meditate on God's Word and commune with Him it is like driving a car with your eyes closed. The only insurance policy that covers hell is Christ.

Dear Lord, Author and finisher of our faith. Give us a hunger for Your Word. Grow our faith in You that we will simply pray and obey as we father families and lead the body in Your Name.

In Jesus' Name.

Amen.
