Ashley's Today's Scripture *July 5, 2009*

1 Timothy 6:11

But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

Perseverance is hard. It takes courage. Perseverance is hard and takes a lot of work. Tonight it was raining where we live & I decided that I would go for a run. It was pretty windy and was hard to keep running. I had to persevere and keep going. Although it was hard it has a great reward. The reward is knowing I ran the full way and didn't stop even though it was hard.

We need to be like this with everyday things, whether it be in your workplace or even a simple run. God will be with you and help you to persevere through tough times and even through the easier times.

Dear Lord,

Please help us to always persevere, even when it gets hard. I pray that You will guide us and protect us.
