Today's Scripture *July 7, 2009*
2 Chronicles 6:36
“If they sin against you—and who has never sinned?—you might become angry with them and let their enemies conquer them and take them captive to a foreign land far away or near.
"Who has never sinned?"
The Bible makes it clear that no one is exempt from sin, not even God's appointed kings. Sin is a condition we all share, and we all should acknowledge it as Solomon did. When we realize we have sinned, we should quickly ask God for forgiveness and restoration. Knowing we have a tendency to sin should keep us close to God, seeking His guidance and strength. This truth is also mentioned in Psalm 14: 3 But no, all have turned away; All have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one! ; Ecclesiastes 7:20 Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins.; Romans 3:23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Father, we thank You that through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we can come to You and be forgiven.
Thank You for the Cross Lord. Thank You for Nail Pierced Hand. Wash us in Your cleansing flow!
And lead us to seek Your continued guidance in all of life's daily choices. In Your Name, Amen..
Have a blessed day!
In His Service,
April
