John 1: 30
He is the one I was talking about when I said, ‘A man is coming after me who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before me.’
Although John the Baptist was a well known preacher who attracted large crowds, he was content for Jesus to take the higher pace. This is true humility, the basis for greatness is preaching, teaching, or any other work we do for Christ. When you are content to do what God wants you to do and let Jesus Christ be honored for it, God will do great things through you.
Lord, we want to have You do great things through us!
Use us! Teach us! Mold us! Guide us!
May we learn true humility and walk always in Your ways! Putting You, Lord Jesus, above all others, including ourselves.
In Jesus' Name, Amen..
