Luke 5:16
But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.
People would flock to hear Jesus preach and to have their diseases healed, but Jesus made sure He often withdrew to quiet, solitary places to pray.
Many things compete for our attention, and we often run ourselves ragged attending to them. Like Jesus, however, we should take time to withdraw to a quiet and deserted place to pray. Strength comes from God, and we can only be strengthened by spending time with Him.
Lord, we want to spend more time in Your presence.
Help us to make time to spend each day with You.
May our prayer lives be strengthened and renewed.
We look to You, O Lord Our God, for strength, peace, and comfort.
In Jesus' Name, Amen...
