Today's Scripture *November 28, 2009*
Deuteronomy 29: 5
For forty years I led you through the wilderness, yet your clothes and sandals did not wear out.
Just as the people of Israel did not notice God's care for them along their journey, we sometimes do not notice all of the ways that God takes care of us--that all our daily needs have been supplied and we have been well fed and well clothed. Worse yet, we mistakenly take the credit ourselves for being good providers instead of recognizing God's hand in the process.
God, we praise You and give You thanks for all that You have done in our lives.
Help us to recognize You as the Provider and Sustainer of our very beings.
Thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit that guides us and guards us.
May we constantly remember that You will always provide everything we need.
In Jesus' Name, Amen..
