Today's Scripture *December 28, 2009*
Mark 1: 11
And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”
The dove and the voice from heaven were signs that Jesus was the Messiah.
Many people want something tangible, visible, and "real" before they will believe.
So Jesus did healing's and other miracles, and God raised Him from the dead. Still people doubted.
Will visible signs convince anyone? The "sign" that really brings us to faith is the power of God's Message to answer the cry of the heart. To the confused, God offers a mind enlightened by faith. To the depressed, God offers a reason for joy. To the lonely, God offers eternal companionship. Don't look for a spectacular visible sign; instead, seek a cleansed and renewed life as evidence of His presence!
God we praise You and thank You for who You are!
May our lives be lived by faith in the God who created the universe and calms our personal fears.
You are the First and the Last! You are the Beginning and the End!
We love You Lord! In Your Name, Amen..
