Haggai 2: 14

Then Haggai responded, “That is how it is with this people and this nation, says the Lord. Everything they do and everything they offer is defiled by their sin.

When a child eats spaghetti sauce, very soon their face, hands, and clothes become red.

Sin and selfish attitudes produce the same result--they stain everything they touch. Even good deeds done for God can be tainted by sinful attitudes. The one remedy is God's cleansing.

Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, let’s settle this,” Says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.

Father, we praise You and we thank You for Your cleansing power! Thank You for Jesus Christ, Your One and Only Son! Thank You for His Shed Blood which paid for our sins! May we come to You with a spirit of thankfulness! May we approach Your throne with repentant hearts and attitudes. Thank You for washing us white as snow! In Jesus' Name, Amen..
