Proverbs 5:18-19
Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love.
I love the comparisons Solomon uses to describe a wife in this Proverb. He uses similar symbolism in Song of Solomon 2:7 Promise me, O woman of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right. Our wives are loving deer's, graceful does?
Without trust, patience, love, gentleness, compassion, and desire a woman's heart will remain distant.
Make a choice to celebrate the wife of your youth, the wife YOU chose. Choose to be satisfied with her and only her physically. Allow her love to captivate you always. When your unbridled attention is on her and only her--That loving deer, the graceful doe, will return to you day after day; hungry to be nurtured, fed and cared for by HER one and only.
God of Creation we praise You, we are blessed with love. Grow the passion and intensity in us as men to influence our wives, allow us the humility to be captivated by our wives love. May everyday be valentines day within Your body Lord. Bless our children Father with healthy marriages for Your glory, Lord.
