Proverbs 16:22
Discretion is a life-giving fountain to those who possess it,
But discipline is wasted on fools.
But discipline is wasted on fools.
For centuries people sought a fountain of youth, a spring that promised to give eternal life and vitality. It was never found. But God's wisdom gives us discretion that proves to be a life giving fountain that can make us healthy, joyful, and alive forever! How?
When we live by God's Word He washes away the deadly effects of sin (Titus 3: 4-8 But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.), and the hope of eternal life with Him gives us a joyful perspective on our present life. The fountain of youth was only a myth and a fairytale dream, but the life-giving fountain is reality. The choice is yours. You can be enlightened by God's wisdom, or you can be dragged down by the weight of your own foolishness.
Thank You Lord Jesus for the precious gift of eternal life!
Thank you also for the wisdom You grant us to have discretion that leads to healthy and right living!
Guide us, O Sovereign Lord, as we live and walk each new day here on this earth! And we praise You
Lord for the coming day of eternal joy, peace, love, and freedom we have in Life Eternal in You Forever Kingdom.
