Amos 5: 15
Hate evil and love what is good;
Turn your courts into true halls of justice. Perhaps even yet the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies Will have mercy on the remnant of his people.
If Israel were to sweep away the corrupt system of false accusations, bribery, and corruption, and were to insist that only just decisions be given, this would show their change of heart. We dare not read this passage lightly or write it off simply as encouragement to be good. It is a command to reform our own legal and social system.
Lord, Your Word tells us to hate what is evil and to love what is good.
Help us Lord, to act in love and turn our ways to Your ways!
Help us to seek truth, in all things. May our hearts be one with Yours.
In Jesus' Name, Amen..
