Obadiah 1: 3
You have been deceived by your own pride
Because you live in a rock fortress And make your home high in the mountains. ‘Who can ever reach us way up here?’ You ask boastfully.
The Edomites felt secure, and they were proud of their self-sufficiency. But they were fooling themselves because there is no lasting security apart from God.
Is your security in objects or people? Ask yourself how much lasting security they really offer.
Possessions and people can disappear in a moment but God does not change. Only He can supply true security.
God, we praise You and give You thanks for real security! We pray that our hope and trust will be placed in You above all other things.
In Jesus' Name, Amen..
