Today's Scripture *April 22, 2010*
Micah 2: 11
Suppose a prophet full of lies would say to you,
“I’ll preach to you the joys of wine and alcohol!”
That’s just the kind of prophet you would like!
The people liked the false prophets who told them only what they wanted to hear.
Micah spoke against prophets who encouraged the people to feel comfortable in their sin.
Preachers are popular when they don't ask too much of us. But a true teacher of God speaks the truth regardless of what the listener wants to hear.
God, we praise You for Your living Word to us.
May each Scripture soak deep down within us; Changing and transforming us.
Renew us, O Lord, and give us the courage to follow You no matter what the cost.
May Your ways be our ways. In Jesus' Name, Amen..
Have a blessed day in Him!
Love in Christ Jesus, our Lord,
April
