Joshua 10:32
Here again, the Lord gave them Lachish. Joshua took it on the second day and killed everyone in it, just as he had done at Libnah.
Notice that in every Israelite victory, the text gives the credit to the Lord. All of Israel's victories came from God.
When we are successful, we may be tempted to take all the credit and glory as though we succeeded by ourselves, in our own strength. In reality, God gives us the victories, and He alone delivers us from our enemies and our troubles. We should give Him the credit and praise Him for His goodness. Always remembering, the victory in our own lives, belongs to the Lord.
Proverbs 21: 31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle,but the victory belongs to the Lord.
Lord Jesus, Master and Creator of the universe! We praise You and give You all the honor and the glory.
You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. You alone see us through our trials and troubles.
You alone give us the courage and the means to walk through dark valley's. And You, and You alone, deserve all our praise.
The battle belongs to the Lord.; Our Redeemer and our King. In the Matchless Name of Jesus, Amen..
