Isaiah 44: 25-26
I expose the false prophets as liars
And make fools of fortune-tellers.
I cause the wise to give bad advice,
Thus proving them to be fools.

But I carry out the predictions of my prophets!
By them I say to Jerusalem, ‘People will live here again,’
And to the towns of Judah, ‘You will be rebuilt;
I will restore all your ruins!’

False prophets were people who claimed to bring messages from the gods. Because God is Truth, He is the standard for all teachings. We can always trust His Word as absolute Truth. His Word is completely accurate, and against it we can measure all other teachings. If you are unsure about a teaching, test it against God's Word. And always keep in mind--God is not a fortune-teller. He is God! Lord or all Lords! King of all Kings. And He does not conform to the ways of the wicked. God condemned the false prophets because they gave advice opposite to His. And God will do the same for any false prophets of our day.
We worship You, O Father of Truth! We trust in Your Word as absolute Truth!
May we always look to Your Word for directions, guidance and reassurance.
It is only by Your Word that we should measure all things. In Jesus' Name, Amen..
