The Centrality Of The Ressurection Of The Dead On Ressurection Sunday Part 1

The resurrection of the dead, is central to the resurrection of Jesus Christ

Welcome brothers and sisters in Christ, as you all know I am Pastor Robert McConkey Of Gennao Anothen Ekklesia (Born Again Church) Or The Church Of The Way. Today's message, though a bit late is titled The Centrality Of The Resurrection Of The Dead On Resurrection Sunday Part 1 The reason this is important is that there are some people who profess to be Christians, that believe that what we should celebrate is what is called in the Christian world, Good Friday or more appropriately Crucifixion Friday. But they would be wrong. Remembered, yes. But celebrated, no.

In fact, you will all discover, in this message, His resurrection can't be left of what the Apostle called the message of the cross. If we leave of celebrating the resurrection of Christ, and celebrate His crucifixion, death and burial, we may as well hold a somber memorial service for Him or worse yet a funeral service, like any departed God-fearing leader. And this would mean that He voluntarily suffered on the cross, and died and was buried in the tomb for nothing.

This was the point that Paul made to the Corinthians, in his 2 letter to them, when there were some people that were telling them, that His resurrection didn't happen, when it really did. (And by the way, the crossing of these particular sentences is for emphasis).  So please open your Bibles with me to 2 Corinthians 15:12-19 "But if Christ is proclaimed, that He was raised from the dead,  how do some among you that there is not a resurrection of the deadBut if there is not a resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised. But if Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation is worthless, and your faith also is worthless, And we are found to be false witnesses of God, because we witnessed as to God that He raised Christ, whom He  did not raise,  then  if the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised. But if Christ has not been raised, your faith is foolish; you are still dead in your sins. And then those that fell asleep in Christ were lost. If we have hoped in Christ only in this life, we are of all men most miserable."

Here I will end part of this message, and continue tomorrow. God bless you all.
