Özséb of Esztergom, the Blessed

Although he has been proposed for beatification on many occassions since his death, these proposals have never been acted upon.

We trust that, with God's help, this initiative will finally reach its joyous conclusion when the Blessed Özséb of Esztergom, can officially be called a Saint, for the benefit of the saintly people of God.

Let us pray:

Oh Lord, I pray to Thee through the good offices of the Blessed Özséb of Esztergom, who was taken by his love for Thee into the mountains of Pilis where he led a life of self-denial and atonement as a hermit.

Grant that his example may lead the churches to unification, according to the will of Thy Holy Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

May the blessed flame of Özséb's hermit life light up the hearths ofbroken homes and lead parents and children back to their warmth.

May its light guide the restless young to the joy and purpose which Thou givest.

Enlighten the hearts of the old and the sick that they may recognize the service they can render unto their fellow men as they endure their sufferings according to Thy loving kindness.

Grand that through this prayer of Blassed Özséb that the shortage of priests throughout the world would cease and that those volunteering their service would remain faithful to the Church in obedience, chastity and unity unto death.

Blassed Özséb became a hermit after a terrible war and devoted his life to bringing the blessing of peace. Grant us peace now in the world and in Hungary and keep us, in recognition of the merits of Özséb, from the peril of war.

And finally, hear my personal request, oh Lord…

Grant me your answer through the good offices of The Blessed Özséb, for the benefit of my soul and the Church.

Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Good Morning Chaplain Jimmie,

You're e-mail is not working. So, I'll post my message here...

Congratulations on being promoted to "Major." That's awesome! Plus now

you're commander of the 5th Div. I'm continuing to pray for you and your

family. I've been studying at night my Bible and my Portable Seminary

book. It's pretty intense. It's not "dumbed down" in any way. It's a

real Master's degree overview. There are so many scholars that have

written that book. Right now I'm learning about Revelation and

Inspiration. The general kind of revelation as evidenced by nature and the

things that God has created and the inspiration that is "God breathed."

(II Tim. 3:16). That's as far as I got so far. As I was reading last

night, I came to the realization that even though a bunch of scholars

wrote that book, God breathed his inspiration through all sorts of people,

both great and small, to create the Bible that we have today. They didn't

have PhD's or Ddiv's back then. I also realized that in the end, when it

is all said and done, it all goes back into the box. We are as a mist

that is fleeting. Here one second and gone the next. Well, Chaplain

(Major) Jimmie, you take care. Remember, God is always with you.

He had a heart attack last night and his wife Dorella asked for all of us to carry him in prayer.
Loren and Dorella are friends of mone and go back many years please carry them in your prayers today

I will probably miss someone in this email, but please pass on this prayer request.;It is 2:30 am and I just got home from the hospital. Loren had a heart attack a few hours ago. They did some surgery and he is stable. I'm grateful that I recognized the signs from my first aid training. He argued with me, but I made him go to the hospital. There will be a lot of activity cutbacks--and I've already warned him. This is short, but clear---PLEASE PRAY!

Our dear sister Amaryha had her baby boy 20" 6lb 20 oz yesterday at 3:40 AM mother and son are doing well
