Bottom Line # 2
In the Christian religion there are hundreds of denominations and doctrines. They all believe theirs is the right one. Some doctrines are taken out of the Bible, some are made up. Many of the older writings were decided by church counsels hundreds of years ago. The doctrines that are in force today are a combination of old and new.
People adhere to what ever is taught by their denomination, which is handed down through
the ages. Most Christians rarely question their churches teaching as they trust their pastors or
seminaries to preach and teach the truth. The question is what is the truth? They can’t all be
right. Lean not unto your own understanding . ( Prov.3:5 )
The most important subject in the Bible for all mankind is who is going to heaven. The
Bottom Line # 1 has given many scriptures to prove that all will be saved through the death and
resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which is the reason He came down from heaven.
That is the doctrine of Christian Universalism, the main objection of Christian protestants.
Christian Universalism in it’s simple and proper sense has existed in almost all ages of the
church. It was very prevalent and virtually unchallenged among early Christians until the time known as the "Dark Ages" that started in the fifth century. From A.D 170 to 430 A.D there
were three main Christian schools of thought. One taught the salvation of all mankind, known as
Christian Universalism. One taught total annihilation of sinners at the end. The third one taught eternal torment in a burning lake of fire, that the Roman church took as their doctrine. Most
churches followed the Romans and that is where the main body of believers are today, an extension of the so called mother church with all their instituted pagan holidays. Most Christians are happy to take part in those activities in joyful abandonment.
Easter is a pagan sex goddess and churches bring her name into their congregation once a year
with all the rituals including eggs, bunnies, and sun rise service. The Lord said " Have no gods or
goddesses before me." (Ex. 20:3)
Some churches finally figured out that Halloween is satanic and just change the name to
Harvest day and keep it anyway. Learn not the way of the pagan. (Jer. 10:2)
By now the reader may be incensed by any one attacking their cherished holidays that they
use to worship God or goddesses. It’s not just any one, but the words of All Mighty God.
Then there is Christ’s Mass, a word put together by the Roman church ( Christmas) with all
it’s various ancient rituals like putting Santa in place of Christ and the nativity scene that breaks the second commandment. Lets face it, you can’t Christianize things that are not in the Bible.
There is no Biblical account of any afore mentioned practices, or that the Apostles kept them. In
vain do they worship Christ, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.( Mt. 15:9)
The fault of this is the preachers and seminaries who perpetuate the false notion that if you
put Christ’s name on anything it makes it holy. They say that these holidays bring people to
the Lord .The good news is, He doesn’t need pagan holidays, Christ does the calling.(1Thes 5:24)
Most preachers know the history of these ancient traditions, but are afraid to come out against
them with the possibility of losing some of their congregation. They enjoy it so much it doesn’tmatter to them that the Bible condemns it.
In the 2000 years since Christ established His church, the Gospel (Good news) has now been
changed to the bad news. They teach an underlying theme that the vast majority of people born
from Adam and Eve until the present, numbering into the multiple billions. That have never heard
of Christ or didn’t accept Him in this life, for any reason. They will be cast into a lake of fire
by our Heavenly Father whose love never fails and His mercy endures forever. This my friends is
a oxymoron which defies rational thinking.
That is a subject that theologians have no satisfactory answer for. An opinion survey was
taken of a number of preachers that were asked why the Lord would allow so many people to
suffer in such a horrible existence or death. Some replied " Because He is Holy." This also defies
rational thinking. Some said " The Lord knows what’s in their hearts, and some will be saved
because of that." Some quote ( Rom. 2:14). " When the gentiles which have not the law, do by
nature the things contained in the law, are a law unto themselves".
You can’t have it both ways. This scripture says it all " If you confess with your mouth the
Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that the Father raised Him from the dead, you will be saved
( Rom. 10:9,10). It doesn’t matter what’s in your heart or how many laws you keep. You must
do what that scripture says in this life or confess before Christ on your knees in the resurrection.
All the ends of the earth will look to the Lord and be Saved, and every knee shall bow, and
every tongue take an oath. ( Isa. 45:22,23 ) As we stand before the judgment seat of Christ, He
said " As I live, saith the Lord every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to
God." ( Rom.14:10,11) At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, in heaven, earth, and under
the earth; and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
( Phil.2:10,11) Some people will put a spin on that with their own words and not the Bible’s.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say it’s too late, and the word judgment doesn’t mean lake of fire.
In fact people will be judged for their good works and given one of the many positions in God’s kingdom. At the Lord’s return He will reward every man according to his work. (Rev.22:12)
All mankind that has never bowed their knees to God, confessed to Christ, and never knew
or believed in the Lord, will have their turn in the final resurrection. They will have a spirit body. (Cor. 15:44) They have no sin since Christ died for all sins and when they die all are freed
from earthly sins, ( Rom. 6:7 ) They will be in their right minds. ( Mk. 5:15 ) They will receive
the knowledge of the truth. ( 1 Tim.2:4 )
Theologians are correct when they say " You must accept Christ to be saved". Which is a
Formality, because He saved all when He suffered and died on the cross at Calvary and was
resurrected. By His life we are saved. ( Rom.5:10 ) Amen.
