Title: Imitations
Date: 2012-08-24 12:41:58.0

Genesis 26:18 And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped then after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

With every spiritual break-thru that happens in your life, begins a time of preservation. Too often many find themselves in the repeated circle of life going from extreme to another, until at last their strength is gone and they settle for less than, what their dreams and visions would define the promises of God for their lives.

This is how determination and endurance becomes a part of the character of God's Word transformed into our lives. Isaac knew that if the will of God was going to stand the test of time in his life, certain provisions where going to have to be put in place to sustain the calling and covenant that was placed upon his life.

He knew resistance, compromise, and tolerance where obstacles he was going to have to overcome. He knew the value that he was taught by long ago principals and precepts that gave him the means and methods that would produce the desired results of his labor and the success of his mission.

In this world today there are many imitations that have only a FORM of godliness. Religion is at best a work in progress whereas Jesus is the finished perfect spotless word of God. We are all looking for answers to the uncertainty of life, for the fear of tomorrow demands faith for today. We are looking for a new thing that will once again revive and spark the passion we once held so dear in our hearts that we dared to dream the impossible. We are forever trying to invent a new way to move an old principal. A circle will always be a circle, to change its form would change its purpose.

We like Isaac must go back to what we know is tried and true. We must model the examples of Christ Jesus our Lord.

Water is a metaphor or simile for fear (Josh. 7:5), death (2 Sam. 14:14), sin Job 15:16), God's presence (Ps. 72:6), marital fidelity (Prov. 5:15-16), the knowledge of God (Isa. 11:9), salvation )Isa. 12:3), the Spirit (Isa. 44:3-4), God's blessings (Isa. 58:11), God's voice (Ezek. 43:2), God's wrath (Hos. 5:10), and justice (Amos 5:24).

John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be IN HIM a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The world will never be able to solve its problems, it will soon fade away, but until then we are to be about our Father's business. We like Isaac need to clean out the wells of our life so that the Word of God will move more freely in and through us. Many depend upon you, they have a thirst that can only be quenched by the Word of God and the testimony of YOUR WITNESS.

Blessings in the name of Jesus.
