We are begging God to heal our country, but most are unwilling to take the action to have Him heal our land.from our sister Lynn
We are all crying out for change in our land. We are begging God to heal our country, but most are unwilling to take the action to have Him heal our land.
The Bible says:
2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)
14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
How many among us are willing to give up their wicked ways? Are we willing to HUMBLE ourselves and TRULY seek His face, or is gluttony, ill gotten wealth, high style of living, and many more ungodly, yet subtle, sins keeping us from it? I am not judging anyone here, for I have been among the worse. Heck, I was a political super worker a few years ago! I thought little of seeking God.
And, though we call out to Him, how is He going to change the hearts of this country from one of stone to a fleshy, warm loving one unless we are delivered from the things that have put that stony heart there to start with?
You heard me right: DELIVERED! SOMETHING EVEN MOST OF OUR CHURCHES DON'T PRACTICE ANYMORE.
If one mentions deliverance in a church today, they are most likely to be looked at as if they are insane, or with pity, not compassion. Our churches have grown so 'modern' in their concepts that they will tell you to go to a psychologist, a psychiatrist, take a pill, 'chilax'; but not to go to our Great Physician and be delivered from generational curses, from cult influences, from sin of any kind.
Jesus said, in the prayer from which He taught US to pray:
.Matthew 6:9-13 KJV
9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread {His Holy Word}.
12And forgive us our debts {sins}, as we forgive our debtors {those who sin against us}.
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
We all know this prayer by rote, but do we know, and practice it, in our HEARTS? Jesus didn't say, 'Keep temptation at bay.' He said DELIVER us from temptation, because temptation is there tormenting us, even as Satan tormented Him.
To the pastors out there, I implore that you do not turn your congregation away from deliverance, not to take the easy way out..
In Jeremiah 22 God warns:
1 “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the LORD. 2 Therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,” says the LORD. 3 “But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. 4 I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the LORD.
And further to verse 16:
16 Thus says the LORD of hosts:
“ Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you.
They make you worthless;
They speak a vision of their own heart,
Not from the mouth of the LORD.
17 They continually say to those who despise Me,
‘ The LORD has said, “You shall have peace”’;
And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say,
‘ No evil shall come upon you.’”
18 For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD,
And has perceived and heard His word?
Who has marked His word and heard it?
19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD has gone forth in fury—
A violent whirlwind!
It will fall violently on the head of the wicked.
20 The anger of the LORD will not turn back
Until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart.
In the latter days you will understand it perfectly.
21 “ I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran.
I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in My counsel,
And had caused My people to hear My words,
Then they would have turned them from their evil way
And from the evil of their doings.
23 “ Am I a God near at hand,” says the LORD,
“ And not a God afar off?"
He is nearer at hand than a lot think. He is raising a generation who are seeking Him; seeking His face.
I am not trying to offend anyone here. I know a lot of you guys are going to think I am 'too heavenly minded to be of any earthly good.' But, how can any of us be too heavenly minded in these times? (Especially those of us who claim the ordination of the Lord? I would rather be among those who are chosen as vs those called!)
I am but a sinner who sins every day, saved but by the GRACE of our Lord and Savior. But I KNOW my Shepherd's voice. I will follow my Shepherd's voice!
(John 10:3-5 King James Version)
3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. {Stranger(s) in this context meaning Satan)
I have strifed to rightly divide the passages in this article to show that God is the same today as yesterday and will be forever.
I pray that those of you who are leaders will be fed from this and feed the sheep God has put under your care.
Some times change is taking a big step backwards so that we can go forward!
My love and God's blessings to all,
Pastor Lynn
